Taipei Zoo and night view of Taipei 101

Being in Taipei I couldn't miss going to Zoo. The place is really really huge and hot weather makes it difficult to walk around. It took over 2 hours to see every place at the zoo and many of animals we couldn't see, because they hide somewhere from heat.

The zoo exist since 1914, but in the beginning it was private zoological garden owned by Japanese citizen. Now the total area is 165 hectares (90 hectares open to public) what makes this zoo one of the largest in Asia.
In 1914 the zoo was funded by Japanese citizens and called Maruyama Zoo. After World War II the ownership of the zoo was passed to Taipei City.

Going to Taipei, you will definitely want to see the tallest building in Taiwan. In years 2004-2010 it was also the tallest building in the world.

Inside you will find shopping mall with hundreds fashionable stores, restaurants and clubs.

Also in the building you can use the fastest elevator in the world. On the 88-89th floors you can observe the world's heaviest and largest wind damper.

The first day I came to Taiwan I could take a look at Taipei 101 at night from restaurant near.
Good the weather wasn't cloudy and rainy. For these few weeks while we stay in Taipei I barely could see blue sky. I really don't like summer's weather here, the heat and rain all the time. Staying home is quite boring already.

And we also climbed a hill to see Taipei night view. After climb I felt half dead but the view is worth it.
There are really a lot of people walking to those viewing stops. I wouldn't rather climb there second time just to watch city for a while. Although it's a popular place for young people.
