Hello! I'm Żaneta Hsu, a blogger, baker, wife, and mother living in Taiwan since June 2017. Originally from a small village in Poland, I enjoyed a simple and beautiful life surrounded by nature and pets. Moving to Taiwan brought a shift, and to overcome loneliness, I started my blog, sharing experiences of life and travel in Taiwan. I touch on topics like interracial marriage, bilingual parenting, cultural differences, cuisines, travel and more.

Since my teenage years, sparked by a friend's introduction to K-pop, I've been fascinated by Asia—its people and vibrant cultures. Despite the lack of foreigners in my area, I sought connections on social media, enhancing my English skills in the process. This online exploration led me to my husband through a Facebook group (AMWF) in 2014. Overcoming the challenges of a long-distance relationship, we finally met in person in 2017, and I embraced a new adventure in Taiwan. From making diverse connections to finding love, this journey has been extraordinary, and I'm grateful for the enriching experiences it brought.

The start of my Taiwan journey was tough, adapting to new food, culture, and weather, and grappling with language barriers. Despite moments of wanting to return to Poland, I decided to stay. Over time, I acclimated, finding joy in unique dishes and embracing the challenges.

Moving across Yunlin, Hsinchu, Tainan, and now Miaoli, we explored Taiwan's beauty, from the main island to places like Xiao LiuQiu and Penghu. Although language skills may be a work in progress, my little family brings me solace. While I haven't conquered every obstacle, I've grown to love Taiwan, even cooking local dishes during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition to managing my blog and caring for my child, I've run a homemade cake business since 2018. Specializing in Polish-style cheesecakes, tiramisu, and brownies, I dream of opening a dessert shop. Despite operating from our apartment, the business gained media attention (newspapers, radio stations, and even television channels), and we've even been invited to speak at schools in Tainan. Cooking and baking have been lifelong passions. When I moved to Taiwan, baking became a business after positive feedback from sharing cakes. Operating solely online, we've grown to over 5500 followers, shipping cakes across the island. Despite challenges from the pandemic and inflation, we prioritize homemade quality, crafting each order with care.
