After visiting Pingdong Park to see the Christmas decorations, we drove to the Taiwan Presbyterian Church in Pingdong (台灣基督長老教會屏東和平教會) , also known as the Pingdong Heping Church. We wanted to see their Christmas lights and the gingerbread town they had set up.
The church was absolutely stunning and the most beautiful I have seen in Taiwan. It was adorned with many lights, and there was a magnificent Christmas tree in front of it. Inside the church, on large tables, they had created a charming gingerbread house town. The centerpiece of the town was a train.
I highly recommend visiting this church if you are in Pingdong or planning to go there. During weekdays, it is open from 7 PM to 9 PM, but on weekends, it opens as early as 2 PM.
