Bald pine forest (苗栗落羽松秘境)
Today, we were fortunate to have nice weather in the northern part of Taiwan, so we decided to venture out and visit the bald pine forest (苗栗落羽松秘境) in Sanwan, Miaoli. This enchanting place is located near the renowned Nanzhuang Old Street, known for its historical charm. As we arrived, we noticed several food stalls and convenient car parking options near the entrance. While I'm unsure of the exact parking fee for cars, scooters were charged 30NT. It's worth mentioning that the roads leading to the forest are narrow and hilly, so cautious driving is necessary.
During our visit, we encountered a minor traffic situation as one car was exiting while another car attempted to enter. Unfortunately, a scooter driver grew impatient and attempted to overtake the car, resulting in a fall. It serves as a reminder for everyone to prioritize safety and exercise caution on the roads.
Additionally, we took the opportunity to explore a century-old camphor tree located approximately 4-5km away from the bald pine forest. This majestic tree stands as a testament to the region's rich history and natural beauty.
