Xinglong Towel Sightseeing Factory (興隆毛巾觀光工廠)
Xinglong Towel was established in 1979. It was a woman who entered the towel industry as a female worker after graduating from a national school. She sold all her dowry to establish the factory, insisting on manufacturing in the field and producing non-toxic products, providing the most reliable service. During the years 1970-1990, Huwei had nearly 300 upstream and downstream towel factories. However, after about half a century of prosperity, the towel industry gradually declined due to changes in the industrial structure. In response to this, "Xinglong Towel" introduced a unique concept to create a new vision for the industry using cake-shaped towel dolls and enhance the new value of the traditional industry.
Established in 1997, Xinglong Towel Sightseeing Factory is the only towel sightseeing factory certified by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. It is also the world's largest manufacturer of patented cake towel products. The factory, spanning nearly 1300 ping, has a 60-year history. Visitors can learn about towel production through professional commentary services and witness the towel textile machines in operation. They can also participate in activities such as making towel cakes, DIY animal towels, health towel exercises, and towel fun competitions.
The decorations made from towels are highly creative and beautiful. Visitors also have the option to pay 150 NTD to create their own towel cake.
