2020 Hay Culture and Art Festival (2020大埤程草文化藝術季)
The 2020 Hay Culture and Art Festival in Dapi Township, Yunlin County (2020大埤程草文化藝術季) just started today (12/26). This unique event takes place under the National Highway No. 1 Yunlin System Interchange. Since it's near Huwei, where my husband's parents live, we decided to stop by on our way to visit them. It's been nice to be able to go out and explore during this Christmas time. Taiwan offers so many places and festivals to visit, and many of them are free of charge. Yesterday's Light Festival in Longqi was also enjoyable. Just a reminder, don't forget to bring your mask if you plan to visit these events.
The main attraction at the Hay Culture and Art Festival is a maze made of 600 hay rolls. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a higher vantage point to capture a good photograph of it. Alongside the maze, there is a large-scale hay cow installation, symbolizing the upcoming 2021 Year of the Ox. Additionally, there are various hay installations along the 181 County Road for visitors to admire.
