Yunlin Travel: Changing seasons in Huwei

It's getting colder every day, even in the south of Taiwan, and the changing of colors in the trees is becoming noticeable. In Huwei, the bald cypress trees have started to turn a slight shade of orange. To capture some pictures of this beautiful sight, I waited for the tour bus to take people away so that the area wouldn't be crowded.

Additionally, there is an event taking place in Huwei over two weekends from November 20th to November 28th. We visited on the second day of the event, but it felt somewhat boring. The event features stalls selling local products, food, and even rental of Japanese clothes. Originally, the event was planned to coincide with the blooming period of the Silk Floss Trees. However, this year, there are very few flowers in bloom. Four years ago, this place was truly stunning with abundant pink flowers. You can view pictures of the vibrant blooms from that time HERE  (although the quality of my camera was not great back then...). We visit this place several times each year, but we haven't been fortunate enough to see the flowers bloom as abundantly as before.
